The Historic North Park
The land for the North Park was given to the Barnes Park Assoc. in October 1888
by John Bookwalter, with the stipulation
that it be used as a public park.
"The Commons" and the
Historic King Post Bridge
When Barnes was first established, the main part of the town was on the south side of the tracks along what is now called Oshkosh Street or as it was referred to as “The Commons”.
